Debenhams enters 90-day consultation with 230 contact centre staff
4 April, 2012 | by Retail Bulletin
The Debenhams department store chain has entered into a 90 day consultation period with 230 staff at its contact centre in Taunton.
The move follows the retailer’s decision to outsource its contact centre function to Leeds.
Debenhams is seeking to move its agent positions to the Leeds centre and is expected to offer relocation packages to all staff who agree to the transfer.
The retailer has been dealing with an increasing number of enquiries from its customers as it grows its multi-channel offering and is expecting call volumes to grow significantly over the next three years.
