Debenhams CFO Simon Herrick resigns
Debenhams chief financial officer Simon Herrick has resigned from his role and will leave the business on 7 February.
The news comes just days after Debenhams reported that its Christmas trading had been disappointing and that it now expects first half pre-tax profit to be significantly lower than in the same period last year.
In a statement issued today, Debenhams said a search to find Herrick’s successor was underway. Meanwhile Debenhams director of finance, Neil Kennedy, will assume the role of acting chief financial officer on an interim basis.
Debenhams chief executive Michael Sharp said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Simon for his hard work and contribution over the past two years. We wish him well in the future.”
