Darren Shapland to retire from Ladbrokes board
Ladbrokes has announced that Darren Shapland is retire from its board after serving for six years as a non-executive director and for five years as chair of the audit committee.
The former Carpetright chief executive will step down on 24 September.
The bookmaker said a search for a replacement non-executive director is underway with an announcement expected in due course.
Peter Erskine, Ladbrokes chairman, said: “Darren has made a significant contribution to the business over the past six years. His insights have been hugely valued, and on behalf of the board, I wish him every success in his future endeavours.
“A search for a successor is progressing well with the aim to find a candidate who will go on to be part of the board for the proposed Ladbrokes Coral plc.”
