SPSL is first customer counting company with ISO 9001
October 7 2003
Customer counting specialist SPSL has been awarded ISO9001-2000 accreditation, assuring quality controls on all aspects of the business.
SPSL, the company behind the Retail Traffic Index, is the first such company to achieve the qualification, achieved over an 18 month period and awarded by certification agency, Moody International
The process analyses and breaks down every customer facing process and then rebuilds them to a heightened level. As a result SPSL now offers its clients, which include many of the UK’s largest retailers, business processes and management principles that ensure the delivery of a guaranteed quality of service.
Winning this internationally recognised accreditation is a major boost to SPSL’s team of dedicated in-house quality managers, who see ISO9001-2000 not only as the cornerstone of their quality guarantee, but as an endorsement of their commitment to excellence.
The ISO 9001 certification covers all aspects of SPSL’s business, including: equipment development & manufacture; equipment installation; auditing, maintenance & project management; data validation; reporting, analysis & application; data management & security and retail improvement practices & procedures.
Dr Tim Denison, director of knowledge management at SPSL, said: “ISO9001-2000 accreditation is seen by many of the world’s largest companies as the single best assurance of a supplier’s commitment to quality.
“We are delighted to have achieved this standard and are proud to be delivering the highest quality of easy-to-use mission-critical data to our retail clients.”
