Currys and PC World offers support for flood-hit communities
Currys and PC World are offering support to local communities affected by the recent flooding and storm damage.
The Dixons Retail owned chains are making hundreds of kettles and toasters available to people who have been forced to relocate to emergency centres. They are also providing fridges for the storage of food and medicine.
Looking further ahead, Dixons Retail has pledged to offer a range of free delivery and installation services for large electrical replacements “as and when the big clean-up begins for communities”.
Dixons Retail chief executive Sebastian James said: “Our thoughts are with all those communities impacted by the flooding and bad weather. The least we can do is to make the emergency centres in those affected areas more comfortable for their temporary residents.
Never Miss a Retail Update!“In the longer term we will also provide free installation for large electricals being replaced, whilst of course recycling old units. Ultimately, we want to help get people back on their feet as quickly as is possible.”
