Create and Craft TV shopping format to launch in US
Craft Retail Group, a division of Ideal Shopping Direct, is to launch its Create and Craft TV shopping format in the US.
Create and Craft’s 24 hour US broadcast will start in December 2014 and will be available online, on smartphones and tablets, as well as via its own app. In addition, several hours per day will be broadcast on TV into around 40 million US homes seven days a week.
Craft Retail Group managing director Tony Sheridan said the channel will offer first to market products from new and established brands across paper craft, sewing, quilting and knitting, as well as from more niche crafts. He added: “To support our omni-channel approach we have agreed a strategic partnership with a significant US based store retailer. The partnership will create a unique dimension to the US craft market.”
Ideal Shopping Direct chief executive Mike Hancox said: “Launching into the US is a natural progression for the group. We are breaking new ground with this venture but the craft market in the US is the largest in the world and we have a unique proposition that I believe will fill a gap in the market.”
