Courts drops sale plan
Strategy to focus on overseas operations
UK furniture retailer Courts has dropped any plans for a sale of the business.
The company announced a strategic review of all options for the business in January. That could have included an outright sale, or a separate flotation of some or all of Courts extensive overseas operations.
In a statement, Courts said it is no longer considering a disposal of the company as one of the strategic options.

Courts said: “At the present time, it is more appropriate to focus the company’s resources on the initiatives to localise overseas consumer credit financing, through securitisations and equivalent transactions, and to regionalise its businesses including possible local flotations.”
