Costcutter signs convenience store forecourt deal
Costcutter Supermarket Group has signed a shop supply agreement with Motor Fuel Group which will result in its brand being placed across 48 petrol forecourt sites.
Retail outlets at MFG forecourts will be rebranded as Costcutter stores between now and the end of March.
The agreement replaces the existing shop supply agreement with Palmer & Harvey.
Angela Barber, trading director for Costcutter Supermarkets Group, said: “Motor Fuel Group is a very well respected fuel business with a strong shop offer and I am delighted that they have chosen Costcutter Supermarkets Group to supply their forecourt stores. The Costcutter brand has a heritage built over the last 26 years and it was this experience, expertise and retailer support programmes that helped secure the contract.
Never Miss a Retail Update!“This new partnership further enhances our fuel retail portfolio, with over 300 forecourt operators across the United Kingdom selecting Costcutter Supermarkets Group for their non-fuel retail operations.”
Tony Walker, non-fuel director for Motor Fuel Group, added: “Our objective remains to provide our retailers and customers with the very best proposition by partnering with market leading brands across fuel and non-fuel services. In Costcutter Supermarkets Group we have struck a deal that will enable us to take advantage of their broad experience of convenience and forecourt retailing and build upon our customer offer. Costcutter is a strong retail brand and the deal we have done will allow us to realise our objective to grow our business significantly.”
