Costcutter appoints new trading manager
Costcutter has boosted its retailer support services team with the appointment of Richard Nicholson as trading manager.
Nicholson has over 28 years experience in the food and retail sector and joins Costcutter from Heineken where he was national account manager.
In his new role, Nicholson will be responsible for the management and appointment of Costcutter’s direct suppliers.
Commenting on his new appointment Nicholson said: “Costcutter is a very well respected symbol group operator and I look forward to increasing our regional network of suppliers for the benefit of our retailers.”
Nicholson will also oversee the management of key additional services such as PayZone, ATMs and lottery.
Angela Barber, Costcutter trading director, said: “Richard joins Costcutter with a wealth of experience gained across the food and retail industry. Consumers are becoming increasing interested in buying locally produced products and Richard’s remit is to extend Costcutter’s network of regional suppliers to allow retailers to meet this demand.”
