Community owned store joins Nisa
A store owned and run by 650 members of the Blockley community in Gloucestershire has joined the Nisa Retail symbol group.
Blockley Village Shop, which was set up in 2008 when villagers learned their last remaining shop was closing, is looking to benefit from Nisa’s flexible model and its 96% delivery on time levels and 98.2% order service levels.
Tim Boddington from the store said: “We are delighted to be Nisa members because we follow the same ethos with a very similar ownership, with our store owned by the community and Nisa owned by members.
“Throughout the process of moving over to Nisa we have been given plenty of support and have built a relationship with our Nisa retail development manager, fresh food development manager and store development manager.”
Never Miss a Retail Update!Nisa’s supply chain operations has recently been recognised with three major awards including Supply Chain Solution of the Year at the Retail Systems Awards 2014, European Supply Chain award for Training & Professional Development, and the Gold award at the Green Apple Awards for Environmental Improvement in the Supply Chain.
