Comet announces board appointment

Ian Edwards takes on business support role

Electricals retailer Comet has appointed Ian Edwards as deputy managing director, business support.

The addition to the board sees Edwards rejoin the Comet board after six years within the Kingfisher group, initially as finance director of Superdrug and since 2001 as director of finance at Kingfisher.
Prior to this, Edwards was a director at Comet between 1989 and 1997 in finance, logistics and systems. The new board position brings together the finance, systems, human resources and property functions.
