CollectPlus signs up 5,000th store

Parcel delivery and returns specialist CollectPlus has announced the signing of its 5,000th parcel store to its nationwide network of convenience shops, supermarkets and garages.

According to the company, 87% of the UK’s online shoppers are now within a mile of a CollectPlus store in urban areas and 88% within five miles in rural locations, thereby providing them with a convenient way of picking up a purchase or dropping off a return at a time that suits them.

CollectPlus has added nearly 1,000 stores in the past year as it grows its network of stores. The 5,000th store is a major milestone for the company which recently added Amazon to the list of retailers for which it provides  delivery to store services.

The business has seen rapid business growth in the past year with parcel volumes growing 250% and parcels processed at a rate of 7 million a year.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

Mark Lewis, CEO of CollectPlus, explained: “The strength of our business is its convenience, and this can only increase for a retailer’s customer base as we expand the network of stores that offer our services. Consumers expect delivery and returns services that are seamless, cost effective and that fit in with their day to day lives.

“Our continual focus on the expansion of our network of stores, through which people can drop off and pick up parcels, helps retailers have a greater number of physical touch points with their customers – an important point of differentiation in a changing omni-channel environment.”

CollectPlus is a joint venture between parcel delivery company Yodel and PayPoint, the leading retail payment network.
