CollectPlus doubles its parcel volumes

CollectPlus, the delivery and returns service provider, has reported a doubling of its parcel volumes to over four million a year.

The strong growth was a result was a result of increased demand from online and multi-channel retailers.

The company said it had almost doubled the number of retail brands it works with since April this year to over 100. Retail clients include brands such ASOS, Boden, Top Shop, Karen Millen, Oasis and Warehouse. CollectPlus said it was also handling more than 1 in 5 of Shop Direct Group’s total returns and 1 in 5 of Very packages are now being delivered to CollectPlus stores for customer collection.

Mark Lewis, CEO of CollectPlus, said of the results: “We are delighted to have over 100 retail brands taking advantage of our returns service and, as we move into 2012, our next area of focus will be to further develop our Click & CollectPlus service, which allows consumers to pick up goods bought online from their local CollectPlus shop.

“Recent research shows that two thirds of online shoppers are attracted to this concept and we expect it to be a key area of growth for us as it continues revolutionise how we all shop online.”

CollectPlus is a joint venture between retail payment network Paypoint and Yodel, the parcel delivery company.
