Colchester’s Culver Square secures four new lettings
The Culver Square shopping centre in Colchester has agreed four new lettings in recent weeks to take the centre to 97% occupied.
Fashion retailer H&M has upsized its store by 60% by taking a new unit of approximately 27,000 square feet while HMV and Pandora have signed up for brand new units. In addition, the Costa coffee chain has extended its lease for an extra five years.
Owned by M&G Real Estate, Culver Square is a 335,000 square foot open air development in Colchester town centre. Other retailers include Debenhams, Gap, Superdry, TK Maxx and JD Sports.
M&G Real Estate asset manager William Blake said: “The retail spend in the branded fashion and jewellery sectors has seen encouraging growth in Colchester, and we have worked hard in recent months to react to this growth, with a series of new lettings and regears. With limited availability of high quality, well-positioned larger units in the town centre, Culver Square has been able to provide H&M, Pandora and HMV with the right space for their current requirements.”
