Co-operative Food appoints regional acquisitions manager

The Co-operative Food has appointed Emma Weintroub as regional acquisitions manager for the Central and Eastern regions.

In her new role, Weintroub will acquire sites for new food stores and will identify opportunities for store relocations. She will be working in The Co-operative Food’s Southern team alongside Matt Long.

With 26 years of experience in the property sector, Weintroub’s previous roles include senior acquisitions surveyor for McDonald’s Restaurants and development consultant for Preston Bennett.  Most recently she ran her own health and wellbeing business and property consultancy.

Rob Bignold, head of acquisitions and new store development, said: “Emma brings a wealth of experience to the business which will prove invaluable to the Group as we continue our acquisitions programme.   The programme continues to build momentum, and Emma’s knowledge of the Central and Eastern regions will ensure our continued success.”

The Co-operative Food has exchanged contracts on more than 150 stores so far this year and will open over 100 new stores in the next 12 months.
