Clinton Cards sales fall

Group like for like sales for the 16 weeks to 16 November decreased by 6.0 per cent.

The fall was a combination of a decline in the Clinton brand of 7.1 per cent and a decline in the Birthdays brand of 2.5 per cent.
‘Trading remains very challenging and clearly reflects the current harsh economic conditions which are affecting so many businesses at this time. As always, the forthcoming Christmas trading period will be an important time for the Group and we will report further on Christmas trading in January’ Clinton said.
