Chisholm Hunter opens biggest store to date
Jewellery retailer Chisholm Hunter has opened its biggest store to date in Bromley in Kent.
The shop is housed in an elegant building which has been a local landmark for more than a century. Formerly owned by jewellery business EW Payne, the building is the oldest in the town’s High Street.
Chisholm Hunter has invested in restoring the building and has preserved its Art Deco features which include a sweeping staircase and wood panelling.
Harry Brown, Chisholm Hunter’s managing director, said: “We worked closely with the local authority to preserve the shop’s history and retain many of its original features. It’s the most historic building in Bromley and it was important that we got the restoration right and made it our own without taking away from its history.

Thankfully I think the end result is all and more than we could have hoped for – it is a really impressive and attractive store and we are very proud of it.”
Chisholm Hunter operates 20 stores across the UK and will shortly open a new store in Edinburgh.
