Michelle Jobling leaves High Street giant.

Marks & Spencer has parted company with its head of childrenswear Michelle Jobling.
The company said Jobling, who joined M&S two years ago after a period as chief executive of department store Liberty, was leaving to property interests in France with her husband,
However, with rumours that M&S has seen a downturn in clothing sales in recent weeks, there is speculation that Jobling’s departure is related to a lack of improvement in M&S’s childrenswear sales. The market is one of the most competitive, with the Asda George range and Woolworth’s Ladybird brand among the competition.
Jobling played a key role in the recent development of the DB07 range of children’s clothing endorsed by David Beckham.
Steve Longdon, head of ladieswear at M&S, is adding childrenswear to his brief.
