Centre:mk celebrates fashion and beauty with AW16 Live in Style event
Centre:mk in Milton Keynes has been celebrating the success of AW16 Live In Style, a dedicated fashion and beauty event which took place at the beginning of October.
AW16 Live is one of the region’s biggest live fashion event and is now in its fourth year at Centre:mk. New season collections and key looks for AW16 for both womenswear and menswear were showcased in hourly catwalk shows with over 30 leading brands participating including John Lewis, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, River Island and Hobbs.
The shopping centre said there was an 11.4% increase of footfall during the event compared to previous years.
The event also included Centre:mk Stylist at Large Ellie Stidolph, whose clients include Ella Eyre and Niall Horan of One Direction, offering fashion expertise to shoppers in a pop-up concept: ‘Off the Rails’.
Shoppers were also able to have free hair and make-up tutorials and get “top tips” over the weekend at ‘The Beauty Box’. Free personalised Centre:mk shopping bags were given away to celebrate the AW16 Live in style event.
Speaking on behalf of Centre:mk’s joint owners Hermes Investment Management and AustralianSuper, Ed Sellick said: “This event has grown in popularity and this years AW16 Live was particularly strong. Its location in Middleton Hall, in the heart of centre:mk, is the perfect showcase for a fashion event such as this and offers shoppers an added appeal to their visit. The event captures our premium fashion and beauty brands we have on offer throughout the destination and further strengthens our position as one of the leading retail and leisure destinations in the catchment.”
