Carven and 3.1 Phillip Lim open first London stores
Fashion brands 3.1 Phillip Lim and Carven have chosen The South Kensington Estate as the location for their first London stores.
3.1 Phillip Lim has opened a 3,200 sq ft store at 91 Pelham Street, just off Brompton Cross, which houses the brand’s womenswear, menswear and accessory lines. The brand is planning to open multiple stores across the UK with a second location to be announced in early 2014.
Meanwhile, Carven has opened a store at 85 Pelham Street which is its first in the UK. Iliya Blazic, investment manager at The Wellcome Trust which owns The South Kensington Estate, said: “We are pleased to welcome Carven to The South Kensington Estate, complementing our rich and diverse luxury fashion offering. This superb store is positioned at one of our most successful locations–Brompton Cross.”
Both brands worked in collaboration with luxury retail company Club 21 to open the new stores.
Brompton Cross and The South Kensington Estate are home to a number of couture houses including Chanel, Stella McCartney, Joseph, Jean Paul Gaultier, Bonpoint, Carolina Herrera and Acne, as well as lifestyle brands such as The Conran Shop and B&B Italia.
