Carphone Warehouse is searching for locations for 100 new stores as it embarks on a new UK expansion drive.
The UK’s biggest mobile phone retailer has a list of more than 170 target locations from Aberdeen to Plymouth where it would like to boost its presence. The expansion programme will create 500 new jobs over the next year.
Carphone Warehouse, which opened its 500th UK store in Cardiff in November, is now looking for units in a range of locations including retail parks and arterial routes, and high streets and shopping centres.
Amanda Hill, property manager for The Carphone Warehouse, said: “We are looking to open 100 new stores this year, and we require various types of retail units to fulfil our expansion plans.”
