Alistair Carr mobile neck ropes make catwalk debut
Carphone Warehouse is entering the fashion arena with the launch, during London Fashion Week, of an exclusive acessories range from designer Alistair Carr.
Carr will provide a style and fashion consultancy to the UK’s largest independent mobile retailer. Over the next year, he will design a range of exclusive accessories for Carphone Warehouse.
The retailer has initially commissioned Carr to design two limited edition neck ropes, with new designs over the next year reflecting each season’s new style trends.
The couture range launching this week on the catwalk will feature exclusively at Carphone Warehouse concessions in Selfridges and Harrods. A further diffusion range of accessories will be available in stores across the country from next week.
Carr said: “As a big mobile phone fan, I’m delighted to be working with the UK’s leading mobile communications retailer and there is definitely a role for fashion to play in this market. I am constantly on my phone to buyers and designers so my mobile is an essential part of my lifestyle and I want it to reflect my own personal style.
“The neck rope is a perfect accessory for this – it makes life easier, is comfortable but also stylish and can complement your look. This season’s look is all about combining comfort and sex appeal complimented with desirable accessories.”
