Carphone Warehouse appoints non-executive director

Carphone Warehouse has appointed Gerry Murphy as an independent non-executive director.
Due to join the Carphone Warehouse board on 2 April 2014, Murphy is a former partner at Deloitte and is currently leader of the firm’s Professional Practices Group.
With direct industry experience in consumer business, retail and TMT, Murphy was a member of the Deloitte board and chairman of its audit committee for a number of years and also chairman of the Audit & Assurance Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
