Carpetright feels the heat

June and July were adversely affected by the unseasonably hot weather across the UK and Europe.

The UK and Republic of Ireland business recorded a total sales increase of 4.3 per cent with like for like sales down by 0.3 per cent. The Rest of Europe has recorded a total sales increase of 9.1per cent with like for like sales up by 3.9 per cent.
Within the UK and Republic of Ireland we have opened 39 stores were opened and three closed taking the total number of stores to 476 including 57 concessions. One store was opened in The Netherlands taking the Group total to 575 stores.
