Carpetright boss to join Matalan board

Lord Harris takes up non-exec role
Carpetright chairman Lord Harris of Peckham is to join the board of discount retailer Matalan as a non-executive director.
Lord Harris takes up the role in October. Matalan said its external consultants are continuing to search for additional potential non-executive directors.
Chairman John Hargreaves said: “We are delighted to welcome Lord Harris to the board. He is a highly experienced retailer and well respected in the City. We are certain he will be a valuable contributor to the Matalan board.”
