Canary Wharf Jubilee Place extension signs up six further retailers
Canary Wharf Group has signed up six additional retail brands for its Jubilee Place Shopping Mall extension in east London.
Michael Kors, Monica Vinader, Schuh, Tiger of Sweden, Godiva and Asics will open stores in early November, joining a further nine retail brands already announced.
The extension will add 44,000 sq ft of retail space to the mall and will result in the addition of twenty-five new stores to Canary Wharf’s existing offer of more than 240 shops, bars, restaurants and cafes.
Camille Waxer, chief administrative officer for Canary Wharf Group, said: “We are delighted to announce the openings of Michael Kors, Monica Vinader and Schuh in November. These highly desirable fashion brands will ensure that the retail mix at Canary Wharf continues to meet the ever changing needs of our customers.”
Never Miss a Retail Update!Monica Vinader, creative director at the British jewellery brand of the same name, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our second London boutique, at Canary Wharf. The store will showcase our popular, luxury yet attainable mainline collections, and we’re very excited to be able to share this within the new Jubilee Place development.”
Combined with the group’s 115,000 sq ft retail development above the new Canary Wharf Crossrail Station, the extension represents one of the largest retail expansions currently underway in the UK.
Previously announced retailers to open in the Jubilee Place extension include Banana Republic, COS, Orlebar Brown, The White Company, Bare Minerals, Rituals, Oliver Bonas, Emmett Shirts and Le Pain Quotidien.
