Calzedonia to open first store outside of London
Italian swimwear and hosiery brand Calzedonia is to open its first store outside of London at the Churchill Square shopping centre in Brighton.
The company is taking a 1,900 sq ft store at the Standard Life Investments operated centre. The store is due to open in late 2014.
The new unit was created as part of the recent refurbishment of Churchill Square that includes a new, double-height Topshop store.
Ed Jenkins, head of UK retail for Standard Life Investments, said: “We’re really pleased that Calzedonia will be opening at Churchill Square. It joins a strong group of international retailers already at the centre such as Apple, Urban Outfitters, Pull & Bear and Berkshka.
Never Miss a Retail Update!“Churchill Square continues to attract major brands due to the strength and depth of its retail offer and catchment area, and Brighton remains one of the top retail destinations for international brands looking for UK market expansion beyond London.”
Other recent signings at Churchill Square include Tiger, Ed’s Easy Diner and Auntie Anne’s Pretzels.
