CACI conference to focus on increasing ROI

Shopping for Opportunities to spotlight use of strategic customer analysis
March 13 2003
Market analysis company CACI will focus on ways retailers can boost profits with market analysis and customer understanding at its retail conference held in the UK in May

Shopping for Opportunities will demonstrate how retailers are exploiting new opportunities in the current market. Delegates will have the chance to take part in a selection of interactive workshops, as well as hearing presentations from a range of speakers including Peter Williams, chief executive of Selfridges, Mick Yeeles, customer strategy controller of House of Fraser, John Bywater, director of Hammerson and Mike Brown, space model manager of the Co-Operative Group.
CACI provides a forum where the retail industry can share experiences and exchange best practice on the most effective application of customer data. Key topics for discussion include:
Site location and network planning
Understanding customers
Targeted marketing and promotions
Customer interaction with multi-channel retailers
Space and range planning
Effective customer contact
Tracy Weir, director of market planning at CACI, said: “The need to be customer focused is greater than ever in today’s challenging and competitive retail industry. Understanding your market, customers and their purchasing habits is key to increasing sales and profitability. We are delighted to host our fourth consecutive retail conference, which is an opportunity for major industry players to share their experiences and discuss the strategic issues they face in the current climate.”
Shopping for Opportunities takes place on May 15-16 2003 at the Marriott Forest of Arden Meriden, Warwickshire.
