Butikku launches London pop-up store
Butikku, the luxury Japanese womenswear retailer, has opened a pop-up boutique in London’s Connaught Village.
The shop will remain open for six weeks in the Hyde Park Estate’s retail and restaurant quarter where the Japanese Kurobuta restaurant and the Japanese-inspired ‘Kokoro’ brand boutique also operate outlets.
Butikku offers a hand-picked selection of luxury clothing and accessories from the collections of top Japanese designers, many of whom have been selected for major runway shows and exhibitions at Tokyo Fashion Week.
During the opening period, Butikku will be hosting a number of special events for customers and will also participate in larger events being organised in collaboration with neighbouring boutiques.
Based in London and selling through a series of pop-up shops and its own website, Butiki is owned and run by entrepreneur Kevin House who left behind a career as a consultant in the energy industry to start the fashion business.
The store is situated at 39 Connaught Street and will be open seven days a week.
