Burger King launches UK expansion
Retail development strategy for fast food chain
Burger King plans to open around 25 new restaurants over the next year, its biggest expansion in the UK for three years.
The fast food chain is targeting major cities as well as out-of-town developments with a flexible range of outlets, and expects to create vacancies for around 800 employees.
Andrew Pickett, development director, Burger King UK, said: “We see the next financial year as a massive opportunity to expand our national network of restaurants.

Burger King UK general manager, Ray Dellamura, said: “Just like our food menu, we will be creative in how and where we develop new restaurants and also offer variety to our development partners and the local areas they serve.
“The coming financial year is set to be a very exciting one for Burger King and our new restaurant development programme forms an integral part of our growth strategy for 2004/2005.”
