Burberry launches own Apple Music channel
Burberry has become the first global brand to launch a dedicated channel on Apple Music.
The Burberry channel will sit in the ‘Curators’ section of the Apple Music service and will showcase Burberry’s collaborations with emerging British music artists. This will include performances, songs and films as well as regular playlists celebrating British musical talent past and present.
Under the creative leadership of Burberry’s chief creative and chief executive officer Christopher Bailey, Burberry has long championed British music which has featured prominently in its runway shows, events and campaigns. Artists who have collaborated with the brand include Tom Odell, James Bay, George Ezra and Keane.
Bailey said: “There are so many extraordinary British artists and it is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with them and showcase their incredible talent. Music has always been intrinsic to what we do and I am excited about our partnership with Apple on this amazing platform which will enable us to take what we do now with Burberry Acoustic and share it with an even bigger audience.”
Burberry will launch on Apple Music with a series of exclusive videos from emerging artists including Lilla Vargen, Georgie and Rhodes alongside a performance from established British singer-songwriter, Alison Moyet, to be filmed at the forthcoming Burberry Womenswear show on 21 September in London.
