Burberry barred by bars

Barracuda aims to deter problem customers
Fashion brands including Burberry and Aquascutum have been banned from two pubs in Leicester operated by Barracuda Group.

Customers wearing Burberry, Aquascutum, Henri-Lloyd, Stone Island and Rockport will be refused admission to the Parody and the Varsity pubs in the town in a bid to keep out groups of troublemakers who sport the high-fashion labels as a uniform.
Barracuda Group spokeswoman Caroline Nodder said: “We’ve been working with the police in Leicester to draw up a list of clothing brands popular with a particular gang who have been causing problems.”
The brands, and Burberry in particular, have become associated with troublemakers in some UK town centres. Burberry has described the issue as “localised and pretty insignificant in the face of the overall appeal” of the brand.
