Brooks Brothers appoints first UK wholesale manager

US fashion retailer Brooks Brothers has appointed its first wholesale manager for the UK as it looks to expand its wholesale operations.

The retailer has appointed Giles Preston to the newly created position where he will be responsible for developing wholesale distribution for apparel and accessories for men, women and children, as well as the Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers collection.

Preston, who will work from the company’s London office, previously worked in the US for luxury Italian brand Ermenegildo Zegna.
Commenting on the appointment, Jane McCann, UK general manager, said: “As America’s oldest apparel brand and a true style authority Brooks Brothers has a unique position in the market.
“We see tremendous opportunity to expand our relationships with specialty stores. Giles brings a wealth of experience and an understanding on both the US and UK markets and I welcome him to the team.”

Brookes Brothers currently operates seven stores in the UK and Ireland, including London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
