Concert to play in 2600 stores
July 10 2002
Wal-Mart will broadcast an exclusive Britney Spears concert in its US stores on Saturday, July 27.

The one hour show, part of the singer’s sponsorship tie-up with Pepsi, will be shown on in-store televisions and played on Wal-Mart radio. Pepsi point-of-sale displays and banners outside stores will be used to promote the event, which will be shown in 2,600 Wal-Mart outlets.
Bob Connolly, executive vice president of marketing for Wal-Mart, said: “Wal-Mart is excited to offer our customers an opportunity to view this concert. We are always looking for ways to provide our customers with a unique shopping experience and this concert will enable many Britney Spears fans a chance to see one of her sold out performances.”
Mike Dillon, director of customer marketing for Pepsi-Cola North America, said: “Britney brings unparalleled energy and excitement to each one of her shows. Now, through Wal-Mart TV, thousands of fans will have the chance to see her perform who otherwise might not have had the opportunity.”
