British Land strengthens retail asset management team
Retail park and shopping centre owner British Land has announced the appointment of Matthew Reed as its new retail asset manager.
Based at the company’s head office in London, Reed will focus on retail parks and will be responsible for the asset management of ten retail and shopping parks.
Reed previously worked as portfolio manager on the Henderson Retail Warehouse Fund at Henderson Global Investors. Prior to that he was a senior surveyor in the retail department at DTZ.
Commenting on Reed’s appointment Ben Grose, head of retail asset management for British Land, said: “We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the team. As the largest listed UK retail landlord, we want to ensure that our retail parks remain attractive and convenient destinations for our customers. Matthew’s sector experience combined with his energy and enthusiasm, make him a perfect fit for British Land.”
