British Land expands retail asset management team
Shopping centre owner British Land has expanded its retail asset management team with two new hires.
James Rayner has been appointed to the shopping centre asset management team while James Duck will work across the company’s single let retail units.
Rayner has joined British Land from Marks & Spencer where he worked on the European store expansion programme. In his new role, he will focus on British Land’s London assets in Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey Quays and Broadgate.
Meanwhile, Duck will work across British Land’s single let retail assets which include the superstore portfolio. He will also have primary responsibility for the Homebase, B&Q, Virgin Active and Debenhams portfolios. Duck has joined the business after seven years at DTZ where he worked in the retail investment and valuation teams.
Charles Maudsley, head of retail for British Land, said: “We are delighted to welcome James and James to the team. They both bring with them a wealth of experience and insight that will help continue to grow our retail asset management team.”
