Brissi makes two key board appointments

Homewares retailer Brissi has appointed former Selfridges chief executive Peter Williams as chairman. In an additional appointment, former White Company managing director Patricia Burnett has joined the board as a non-executive director.

With 30 years experience in the retail sector, including 13 years at Selfridges as chief financial officer and then chief executive, Williams is currently a senior independent executive director at ASOS, a role he has held since 2006.

Burnett recently stepped down as managing director of The White Company after overseeing six years of growth for the multi-channel retailer. She is also a former chief executive of Jaeger and past managing director of Wallis.

Founded in 2001 by Arianna Brissi and Siobhan McKeating, Brissi offers 500 furniture and homewares lines from its four London-based boutiques and e-commerce site. The company also has 30 concessions in John Lewis stores.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

In a statement, Brissi and McKeating said: “We are delighted that two of the industry’s biggest players have joined our board. Their vast retail industry experience spans department stores, ecommerce and multi channel mail order, so they are perfectly placed to support our future expansion.

“With Peter’s position as trustee of the Design Council and Patricia’s experience within the homewares sector we are greatly looking forward to their contribution to our future development.”
