B&Q partners with Deliveroo for on-demand delivery in London

B&Q has teamed up with Deliveroo to offer Londoners access to on-demand delivery of over 600 DIY products from their nearest B&Q Local store in as little as 25 minutes.

The partnership is launching across nine B&Q Local stores at Camden, Harrow, Palmers Green, Streatham, Sutton, Tooting, Wandsworth, Wood Green and Staines-Upon-Thames later this month.

Products available for delivery will span categories such as interior and outdoor paint, decorating products, painting tools, plumbing, electricals, and bathroom essentials, as well as tools and hardware.

Amelie Gallichan-Todd, supply and logistics director B&Q, said: “We’re constantly looking at how we can help make home improvement projects easier. This includes helping customers to get their home improvement products in the most efficient, and convenient way possible, by meeting increasing consumer demand for speed, convenience, and mobile access.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Deliveroo to test on-demand delivery for our customers served by nine of our B&Q Local high street stores in London.”

Since the launch of ‘Deliveroo Shopping’ in November 2023, Deliveroo has been expanding its non-food selection to enable customers to shop from retailers that sell products ranging from DIY to homeware, toys, flowers, baby items and gifts.

Deliveroo is currently experiencing increased demand for DIY products, Customer searches on the Deliveroo app for items like paint and screws have increased by 74% and 35% respectively over the last six months.

Eric French, chief operating officer at Deliveroo, said: “We are thrilled to welcome home improvement giant B&Q to the Deliveroo platform.”
