Bottega Veneta hires new chief executive
Luxury group Kering has appointed Carlo Alberto Beretta as chief executive of the Bottega Veneta leather goods brand.
Beretta was previously retail development director at Ermenegildo Zegna where he spent the last 11 years. Prior to that, he was menswear brand manager at Valentino after beginning his career at the Italian department store La Rinascente.
In his new role, Beretta will report to Marco Bizzarri, chief executive of Kering ‘Luxury – Couture & Leather Goods’ division. Bizzarri will remain as president of the Bottega Veneta brand following Beretta’s appointment.
Commenting on the appointment, Bizzarri said: “We are delighted to welcome Carlo Alberto Beretta to Bottega Veneta and Kering. I am confident he has the skills and experience necessary to build on the work done so far and to continue supporting the growth of the brand globally.”
