Boots expands private Covid-19 vaccination service to 30 more stores

Boots has announced that it is expanding its private Covid-19 vaccination service following high demand.

Initially introduced in 50 stores in England in April, the service will now be offered in 30 more stores, including in Scotland and Wales.

The service can be accessed by patients aged 12 or over and is priced at £98.95.

Boots has also reported a spike in sales for Covid-19 tests and medicines that can relieve symptoms of the virus.  It said sales of Covid-19 test kits almost tripled in June compared to the same month last year.

Jamie Kerruish, healthcare director at Boots, said: “Our private service builds on our delivery of Covid-19 vaccinations for the NHS.

“We are seeing a wide range of patients choose to get a Covid-19 vaccination privately and demand for the service has been higher than we anticipated.

“We expect it will continue to rise in the autumn and winter months.”
