Booths to host decadent Easter chocolate festival
Northern fine food retailer Booths is to host an Easter chocolate festival this month in celebration of its artisan producers and Easter treats.
Taking place on 18 and 19 March across the Garstang, Lytham and Hale Barns stores, the Chocolate Festival will offer customers access to chocolate samples, wine, beer and chocolate matching, and creative chocolate slab making demonstrations, as well as a free prize draw.
Artisan chocolatiers Davenports will be offering samples of their new range of Booths Easter Eggs which they hand make for the retailer, with flavours such as Dark Chocolate, Lime and Sea salt, Milk Chocolate and Honeycomb and White Chocolate and Raspberry Fizz on offer. In addition, Willie’s Cacao and The Grown Up Chocolate Company will be providing a range of ‘only for adults’ flavours.
Kids will be offered Booths chocolate bunny lollies made by Yorkshire chocolatiers Choc Affair and will also have the chance to learn how to make colourful chocolate slabs as part of a free demonstration.
Family bakers Bells of Lazonby will be introducing customers to Booths’ chocolate themed Hot Cross Buns including Chocolate and Ginger and White Chocolate and Raspberry flavours, and Lathams of Broughton will be offering samples of their salted chocolate fudge cake and other baked treats.
Meanwhile, Booths’ licensed specialists will teach customers how to match their chocolate with the perfect tipple, and local breweries Northern Monk and Saltaire Brewery will be sampling their rich chocolate porters and ales.
Head of Booths brand Abby Talbot said: “We can’t wait to hold an unashamedly ‘chocolate-centric’ event for connoisseurs and the chocolate curious. We have been working in collaboration with some brilliant local producers to create our Easter range and it’s going to be an irresistible chance to discover everything we’ve been developing.”
