Booths opens new Poulton-le-Fylde store
Booths, the North West based food and wine retailer, has opened a new 34,000 square foot food store at the Teanlowe Centre in Poulton-le-Fylde.
The store contains a café and fresh food counters, including a butcher, fishmonger, delicatessen, hot food and cheesemonger. It also features a new approach to showcasing wine, beer and spirits.
To mark the opening, Great British Bake Off star Dorret Conway baked a celebratory black forest gateau to share with shoppers. Booths also created a spectacular festive sculpture from seasonal fruit and nuts to celebrate the work of its producers.
Booths chairman Edwin Booth said: “It’s wonderful to open a store in Poulton-le-Fylde, especially just before Christmas when the stores begin to look especially lovely. It’s fantastic to be a part of the newly regenerated Teanlowe Centre and we look forward to welcoming Booths shoppers old and new.
“We work hard to develop strong and meaningful relationships with artisan suppliers both locally and globally. Retailing exceptional food and drink is the essence of Booths, and coupled with great knowledge and service, is what sets Booths apart from the crowd and marks us as special.”
The new store has created over 60 new jobs in the region, ranging from management roles to flexible part time employment.
