Booths opens 30th store
Booths, the North of England based food and wine retailer, has opened its 30th store.
The 9,000 square foot shop in Barrowford in Lancashire will create over 60 new jobs ranging from management roles to flexible part time employment.
The new store contains a café and fresh food counters including a butcher, fishmonger, delicatessen, hot food section and cheesemonger.
It will be headed up by Dean Gibson who has risen through the ranks of the Booths Management Trainee Programme since he joined the company 14 years ago aged 16.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Graham Booth, chairman of Booths, said: “I’m delighted to open Booths in Barrowford. Booths is a food retailer like no other—proudly Northern, family run and independent. Our regional roots and relative small size help to forge close relationships with our farmers & producers.
“We are proud to have developed strong relationships with many Lancashire farmers and producers, many of whom have been supplying our stores for decades and it means a great deal that some have joined us today in celebrating the opening of our 30th store.”
