Bonnie Baby to open first standalone store
Bonnie Baby, the UK online baby and childrenswear label, has announced the launch of its first standalone store which will open in Hong Kong on 23 August.
The store will be located in The Peninsula Arcade at the prestigious The Peninsula hotel which is home to over 80 luxury shops including Chanel, Michael Kors and Prada.
The store has been designed by Bonnie baby founder and designer Tracey Samuel and her furniture designer husband Gareth Griffiths. The ‘look and feel’ is typically British and incorporates fun elements such as rocking horse sheep. Designed to be tactile and soft, fittings have been made in a soft oak and a rose gold coloured metal with white gloss lacquer while large metal hanging rails incorporate Bonnie baby’s apple logo.
Tracey Samuel said: “We are so excited to be launching our first stand alone store, in one of the most prestigious locations in Hong Kong. I have travelling to Hong Kong for nearly 20 years with my different design positions and have come to think of it as a home from home. I love the vibrancy of the city and the people and am thrilled it’s the location for our first store.”
Gareth Griffiths added: “Bonnie baby stores will be launching across Hong Kong and China over the next few years, so one of the most important considerations was flexibility of design. It was important to have a softness to the design that children will appreciate and above all, the design has to complement Tracey’s designs.”
The launch of the Bonnie Baby store in Hong Kong will be followed by the rollout of further stores across Taiwan and China in 2013 and 2014.
