Discount retailer B&M has strengthened its brand presence and position in the growing gardening market by opening a milestone 100th garden centre.
The company has launched a new site in Salisbury and has plans to open a further ten garden centres in 2016.
B&M, which operates more than 500 stores across the UK, opened its first garden centre in 2011 as part of its Leek store on the town’s Barnfields Road.
Situated on the Southampton Road Retail Park, the new Salisbury store has created more than 80 jobs for local people.
Simon Arora, B&M chief operating executive, said: “We are delighted to reach this milestone at our Garden Centre division, which now has the critical mass to be an important player in the sector.”
