Specialist bookseller to replace Waterstones
May 13 2003
Blackwell’s is to take over the operation of the London Business School bookshop from mid June.
The UK’s leading academic bookseller has won the contract from current operators Waterstones.
Blackwell’s plans a new 2,000 sq ft store in a dedicated retail unit in September, in time for the start of the new academic year. Until then a temporary store will operate at the school.
Retail Director John Thwaites said: “Working with one of the most prestigious business schools in Europe is a fantastic opportunity to expand Blackwell’s business offer.
“Blackwell’s knowledge and experience in this category will provide an enhanced service to the staff and students at the London Business School, we are very happy to be there.”
The addition takes the Blackwell’s estate to 73 stores.
