Blacks CEO to step down
Blacks Leisure has announced that Russell Hardy is stepping down as chief executive by mutual agreement.
Keith Fleming, Blacks’ finance director, will become acting chief executive with immediate effect while the board instigates a search process.
The group also announced that current trading continues to be in line with that announced at the time of the preliminary results announcement on 3 May 2007.
In May Blacks said sustained warm and dry weather in the UK had weakened sales as it reported a break-even result before tax and exceptional items for the full year.
“The outlook for the first half will depend on the key summer season and the success of the new camping and summer clothing lines, which have started well,” Blacks said
