Black & Lizars, one of Scotland’s largest independently-owned optometrists, has appointed Geraldine Wood as its new managing director.
Wood was previously the company’s chief operating officer and has been with the business for over twelve years.
Her appointment follows the departure of chief executive Mark Ross and supply chain director Alison Scammell. Colin Black remains as senior optometrist.
Black & Lizars has grown its turnover by 20 % over the last two years and has recently opened a new flagship store in Edinburgh.
The company operates a 24-strong branch network in Scotland and also has a branch in Northern Ireland.
