Bestway chief retail officer to step down
Bestway Retail has announced that its chief retail officer Andy Cresswell is to leave the company in January next year.
Cresswell joined the business in January 2019 from MRH and also previously worked with Midcounties Co-operative.
In a statement, Bestway said Cresswell had moved the retail estate forward and led franchise stores within the Bestway Wholesale business through a period of significant growth.
Bestway Wholesale managing director Dawood Pervez said: “The Bestway Group’ board is immensely grateful to Andy for the stability and vision he has brought over the last two years. Much has changed at Bestway Retail under his tenure-ship and Andy has been a valued member of our leadership team and pivotal in driving our retail strategy over this period. We would like to extend our thanks to him for the significant developments which have taken place under his leadership and take this opportunity to wish him well for the future.”
The company is now looking to recruit for a head of stores who will be responsible for running the company-operated estate and will also help to develop Bestway’s overall retail offer.
