Best Buy launches its UK transactional website today
The website will invite and involve the opinions and recommendations of consumers
The company says that this blend of inspiring and engaging information will help customers make the right decisions about the best technology for them when they buy online.
Customers will be able to find over 350 ‘Inspiration and Advice’ guides and articles on the latest technology, product and service information written in plain English. An exclusive series of unique and interactive video buying guides, including topics on home appliances, televisions, Blu-ray, computing and digital cameras, will launch in the next few weeks.
The Blueshirt (Best Buy’s in-store team) experience video buying guides see customers being asked a series of questions to provide a personalised recommendation on the type of product that will be right for them and their lifestyle.
Best Buy has teamed up with Reevoo, the independent publisher of genuine customer reviews, which will present product reviews written by real people who have purchased the featured product that a customer may be considering.
The website’s community forums and blogs will provide the latest technology news as well as the opportunity to ask questions and get advice from community members.
Customers can also post their own video product reviews through Best Buy’s TechXpert platform, which invites members of the public to submit reviews to earn the chance to become a product tester for Best Buy.
deVere Forster, Managing Director for Online at Best Buy UK said,”The launch of our e-commerce store marks a key milestone for the business and helps to make buying technology simple, inspiring and tailored to each of our customers. We are very excited that customers from across the UK will now be able to experience the Best Buy brand for the first time.
